Game 1 vs Shore Regional, 12/9
Score: 10-1

The game started with Shore Reginal scoring a quick goal on an unready Storm. Within seconds thou the Storm came back with a goal. There then came an onslaught of a total of 7 unanswered goals by the Storm in the first period, having it 7-1 halfway through the game. The mercy rule came into effect in the middle of the second half when Kevin Stevens put away the Storm's ninth goal, and his fourth goal of the game, making the necessary lead of 8 goals. The game ended with Shore Regional losing, 10-1 after 10 answered goals by the Storm. Shore Regional provided no challenge for the Storm, as defenseman Dave Kelley commented "This is no fun, it isn't even a real hockey game."

Game Winning Goal: Tim Peters
MVP: Kevin Stevens
2nd Star: Brian Cerruti
3rd Star: Tim Peters

Side Note - Kevin Stevens got the first hat trick of the season for the Storm with his four goals.

Game 2 vs Manalapan Braves, 12/16
Score: 3-7

This game was the rematch of the Storm's first game at GoodSports that resulted in a 2-9 loss that didn't count for anything. This game, though, would be for "keeps". The first half of the first half had the Storm playing well, but controversial calls from the "referees" gave the Manalapan Braves two of their four power plays of the game creating two goals, making the score 0-2. But upon the arrival of the late coach Toscano halfway through the first half the Storm scored one, and then another. With just a couple minutes remaining the Braves pulled off one goal, and then another at the buzzer on the unaware Storm. With the score close the Storm began the second half with a goal making it 3-4, but the rest of the period did not go their way. The "referees" once again gave the Braves two unearned power plays, resulting in two goals. With the score then 3-6 the Storm saw no hope of a fair game, not even the late arrival of the offensive scorer John Gallo could rally the Storm to a come back. The game ended with the score 3-7 in what was called by an unnamed Storm player "a bunch of f*ckin bullsh*t"

MVP: Tim Peters
2nd Star: Ben Daniels
3rd Star: Dave Kelley
Game 3 vs Shore Regional, 12/23
Score: 6-3

This game would mark the second and final matchup of these two rival teams in the regular season. With the previous battle between the two ending in a mercy rule loss by Shore Regional there was not high expectations. Almost because of this apparent lack of Shore's skills the Storm played half heartedly. The Storm almost repeated their previous matchup with Shore in the first half by winning 5-1, as compared to 7-1 last time. Any chance of following up that game though was destroyed when Shore outscored, but not outplayed, the Storm in the second half by 2-1, including one goal by John Gallo - for Shore. The Storm barely pulled this one through with a rare occurence - a "dissapointing" win. As former Shore player Brian Cerruti stated "Aww, this sucks, now Shore thinks that they're good." But don't worry Brian, that game was only close because Shore had some very important people rooting for them - the referees.

Game Winning Goal: Ben Daniels
MVP: Kevin Stevens
2nd Star: John Gallo
3rd Star: Joey Tietz

Game 4 vs Southern JV, 12/30
Score: 2-2

This was a game plagued by missing players, bad luck, and utter lack of trying. Missing were Captain Ben Daniels, Assistant Captain Kevin Stevens, Joey Tietz, and Tim Peters, leaving only 4 players - no subs. Without the leading goal scorers to take the game home others had to pick up the slack. Many expected John Gallo to do this as he did last year, but instead the quiet defenseman Dave Kelley saved the team from would have been an embarassing loss. JV's two goals resulted from stupid turn overs in Storm territory. But Dave Kelley came to the fore front with an end to end short handed goal and an assit to Brian Cerruti's goal. This embarassing game will surely be redeemed in the rematch when all the players are present and Tim Peters is back from injury.

MVP: Dave Kelley
